MOTIVATION is the psychological, emotional & cognitive agent that organize behavior toward a specific goal. Motivation is the reason for practicing a sport. MOTIVATION is a process: Motivation -> Activation -> Behavior

SELF-CONFIDENCE

SELF-CONFIDENCE can be defined as the capability of an athlete to believe in his skills and abilities to achieve success and it is related to the athlete's perception of themselves when facing a situation.

ATTENTION & CONCENTRATION

ATTENTION is the ability to accurately perceive the most relevant stimuli coming from external environment in regards to the context’s demand. Concentration: ability to focus solely on one stimuli.

ANXIETY & STRESS

ANXIETY is an emotion and it manifests when interpreting and evaluating a situation in a context. Anxiety is related to the term's arousal and stress. STRESS: Situation that demands high effort from individual. The non-specific response of the body to any demands. Stress generate alterations in athletes psychological and so it might influence their performances.

The initial work will focus on the athlete’s emotional and rational cerebral hemisphere, firstly creating an emotional connection to the objectives and applying different techniques within the method.
An optimal intervention will aim for the athlete’s complete autonomy in managing his mental resources.
